POEM 1- The angel of the forest

In the veil of misty dawn,
In the Verdant green meadows,
In the forest greens of firefly nights,
In the freezing chills of mountain peaks,
Amongst the seven vibrant colours of Rainbow mirage,
Amongst the barren rocks and sands of timberland,
Everywhere I saw your foot prints, the decades left behind
Indelible they are to the history of the land as to me!
I wandered in a pensive mood, in the valley of infinity
Thoughts flowing fast
As the burbling mountain freshet,
Drenching my feet,
The pristine water of forest streams,
Panacea to the frozen souls!
I stood amazed at this ageless shore of love,
As if caught up in the warp of time.
The winds of time passed beside me
resonating the phrasings,
Echoes of those mesmerizing words of yours,
Down the valleys again and again
articulated for the angel of earth .
“Time stands still in the darkness of foliage stretched far
In the dense forest land,
As the dense hair of angel”.
Whilst, the melting glaciers of the mountain peaks
Embraced your feet too as mine in the bygone years
As you sang across the valleys &streams.
Angel of the earth listening to the
celestial music of yours
In the lonely dense forest over the years passed by,
In the forest greens of firefly nights,
Howbeit, decades cascaded
Since you have left the shore
poem 2 Metamorphosis
METAMORPHOSIS

I stand amazed in the woody forest
Where eons passed by me,
Decades cascaded,
Centuries spoke to me silently,
In the same woody shades.
Yet I, the Time wonder at
The metamorphosis of seasons,
The metaphor to the transitions.

Eternity

It was autumn when the leaves buried my memories beneath the ground
It was spring when I revived them from those ashes time had left behind.
“Immortal forever” they whispered with a smile.
Mayn’t fall with autumn hues
Mayn’t melt away in scorching sun
Mayn’t vanish from the earth with the deluge of time.
As I never made you mine ever with bondage of time & space
But eternally mine…
Forever mine….

The queen of the night & the star

The starry sky and moonlight astounded
Snowy white milky petals,
Mystifying the world in ethereal fragrance,
Glazed in the milky moonlight
“The queen of night”.
The star on the northern sky winked at the newborn flower,
Awakened from a deep sleep of infinite years,
Stared at the lovely star.
But a pal of gloom on the Milky white petals.
Perhaps the gloom of imminent return to eternity.
The star on the endless sky winked again
Asif sensed the melancholic shadows,

Dusk of seasons

In the spring I wished to fly like butterflies.
In the autumn I wished to float like white clouds on the blue sky…
In the winter I wished to be the sliding glacier of frosty misty mountains…
In the Summer eves, I wished to be the moonlight of my sky.
In the cloudy Monsoons I wished to scatter as the splendid beam of sunshine.
In the drizzle, I wished to sprinkle like the drops of rain …

DESTINED TO BE

The slumbering sun and dusky sky spoke silently the story of two soulmates
Betwixt fiery red clouds of the horizon
Destined it is for the dusk to bid farewell to the day at twilight
Again, to meet at dawn with the freezing wind.
Destined is not meant to be a shadow cast by destiny and luck
But only an unravelling of the endless powers of the universe
In bringing together or send far away
Making clear and vivid or fading into oblivion.

Neeli gulmohars [ Jacaranda]

In the valley of Neeli gulmohars,
Empyreal blue fires of the sky,
Ethereal fragrance of Spring
Bid adieu to come again in Summer
As if the rain of my land and I come to meet you in monsoons
Bidding farewell to come back
When the roses and gulmohars bloom again.

THE WARRIORS OF THE UNIVERSE

The universe, the oceans and streams and valleys of mother Earth,
Accept in silence the evils of a part of mankind.
The foolish believed so blindly about tolerance
since time immemorial,
But the wise prayed in silence
To quieten the wrath, that inevitably comes
The fruits of infuriation,
The fruits of devastation.

POEM 10

The sky and the earth merge
on the horizon of hope, on every twilight.
Whilst the dusky sun dipping his face
In the quietude of pacific sea
And the turbulent waves of the day
go for a repose at the seabed.
As the blue white clouds vanish
into the grey depths of starry sky,
Inviting the moonlight for a palaver.

SIGNATURE OF THE TIMES

In the haunted lands of deluge ravaged by torrential rain,
In the green avenues of dark & dense forests,
In the echoes of vestiges of time elapsed,
In the forts decayed and frozen on mountain peaks
I walked silently holding the hands of myriads of emotions,
Oh time, I could see nothing devoid of your signature;
In this ascension and descent of journey of life,
Uttered void apparently by the external world.

On the shore

No clouds of grey scattered on the horizon of my dreams
The sky is bright and sunny,
The pelagic birds faintly visible far on surface of sea
I too walk on this lone shore of dreams,
With the oscillating silvery tides of joy wetting the anklets,
With the murmuring breezy winds whispering into my ears.
The shells of yesteryears slept under the seabed
enlivened your memories

MEMORIES

Traversing the vermillion hues and foliage of Autumn,
Walking with the bare trunks of snow –clad Winter hills;
Withstanding the miseries of parched, desolate barren lands
Of torrid summer and despair;
With the bloom of joyous spring;
With the downpour of sky and grief
Memories bequeath the imprints of life.

The feathers of love

Sobbing of the endless sky,
On hazy grey avenues,
As the clouds of Aashaada(rainy month) ,
Stand gloomy without any down pour as your love.
With the chirping birds nesting in your solitude,
I too shed feathers of love sometimes,
Breaking the silence of your tranquillity.
Perchance, I am that incomplete poem,
Have been writing since many decades,
In the drizzles poured &pattered the bygone years….

Poem15

The clouds of the seraphic sky
Asked the aurora
What makes you so beautiful?
Aurora smiled and replied
The sunlight aurifies you and me…
The mundane mornings so special
Dusky evenings angelic and incredible
Be that sun each day as you wake up at day beak
And while you go to repose in the dusky evening
Transcend the spirits of seraphic life to the universe!
Poem 16
THE SHELL OF TRANQUILITY

Stands alone in the arid deserts of scorching sun,
And sustained alone in the abyss of deep blue ocean,
within the shell of tranquility,
In the chaos conquering the will,
In the challenges contracting the footsteps,
In the deluge of despondent days.
None can trespass the shell
No annoying calls or invitations,
poem 17
The vagabond

In quest of the serene golden rays of dawn,
In search of silent beauty of lush green valleys
O’er there on barren rocks of this land of temples
wandered like a lonely bird, lost his way
In the melting glaciers of the mountain peaks.
Glowing silvery threads amid dense pines & junipers,
In the rivers of unfathomable depth,
Perhaps, less deep than his sorrows
wandered like a lonely bird that lost his way.
POEM 18
THE PHILOSOPHER OF LOVE

He had left the shore of love on some day with a wounded soul
Vanished into oblivion the days & nights
The amnesic sleep of memories.
Perhaps a quest in vain of peace and harmony within
Where turbulence &turmoil ruled the roost
Wandered for decades in the vale of woes
Withered dusk and dawn in years as autumn foliage.
Poem 19
MONSOONS

Doves and pigeons intone chants of redemption
In the lonesome corridors of sweltering Summer,
When the black and blue clouds fill the torrid sky
Peacocks and gleeful soul dances in anticipation,
Blessing the earth with the down pour
Forest love

Flowing streams took a pause
As the shadows gave a fleeting glimpse of him
Fluttering birds turned around
For a delightful welcoming
The blissful sands of the bank
Rejoiced with the gales
As if recognized a familiar footstep
The cerulean sky adorned with rainbows
As he waved his hands.
The winds of fragrance enlaced the pink plumerias
Sharing the secret of the arrival
